Former US Army Captain Michael Erin divides his time between roles as a principal at PacificRock, LLC, and as the vice president of development at The Economic Club of Las Vegas. Away from his professional endeavors, Michael Erin enjoys watching Major League Baseball, and his favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.

In April, Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta threw the first no-hitter of the 2016 MLB season in a game against the Cincinnati Reds. The sixth-year, right-handed pitcher from Texas Christian University has now thrown two such games during his career, with the first occurring only months earlier. Both of his no-hitters took place in road games, and only one other player has achieved more no-hitters on the in road in the league’s history: Nolan Ryan – who also holds the record for most career no-hitters at seven.

In 2013, Arrieta joined the Chicago Cubs after playing nearly four seasons with the Baltimore Orioles. In 2015, he won the Cy Young award for the National League. Only three other pitchers have thrown a no-hitter in the season following their Cy Young-winning campaigns.
